According to the General Director of BITEX (the official distributor of CASIO in Vietnam), Ms. Tran Thanh Thao shared at the conference that changes in the new educational curriculum require students not only to perform calculations but also to know how to apply knowledge to solve practical situations. This demands that learning tools also be upgraded to meet modern teaching and learning methods.

Ms. Thao emphasized that the CASIO fx-880BTG PLUS was researched and developed with the orientation of supporting students in learning and reviewing key topics of Mathematics at the junior high and high school levels. 

 The design features 4 colors named after youth trends: Super Black; Nova White; Glacier Green; Aura Pink.

Integrating multiple advanced Mathematical features

The highlight of the product lies in its feature system, which is designed to closely follow the current curriculum. The calculator supports grouped data statistical processing - a type of math problem that has appeared in the curriculum and exams in recent years. Instead of performing multiple manual calculation steps, students can input data directly for faster analysis and processing.

The product also comes with application books for each school level: High School and Middle School

In addition, the device integrates features for geometry such as solving triangles, calculating the distance between two points, calculating the distance from a point to a line, writing plane equations, applying Heron's formula to calculate the area of a triangle, or calculating the area of a sector. In the probability knowledge group, the calculator supports total probability and Bayes' formula, helping learners approach advanced topics more conveniently.

According to educational experts, integrating direct support tools on the calculator helps students reduce the time spent on repetitive calculation steps, thereby focusing more on problem-solving thinking and analyzing the core nature of the problem.

In addition to adding features, the CASIO fx-880BTG PLUS was developed to be friendly to young users.

The menu system is intuitively arranged by knowledge groups, making it easy for students to find the functions they need. The calculator is also equipped with shortcut keys for commonly used features, helping to shorten operations during learning and exams.

A representative of the development unit stated that the product research process involved mathematics experts, pedagogical lecturers, and an applied mathematics research team to ensure suitability with actual teaching practices in Vietnam.

Meeting exam room regulations

According to Inspection Certificate No. Q326D047751 issued by the Quality Assurance and Testing Center 3 (QUATEST 3) on May 7, 2026, the CASIO fx-880BTG PLUS does not have data storage capabilities via memory cards and does not support text editing. These features meet the criteria for handheld calculators allowed into exam rooms under the current regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.

In addition to the device, the product comes with a system of application guide documents for each school level, from middle school to high school. Users can access topics, lectures, and learning support content developed in alignment with the new general education curriculum.

The CASIO fx-880BTG PLUS is currently available in four color versions: black, white, green, and pink. According to a BITEX representative, the product comes with a 7-year genuine warranty and a replacement policy in the first year if technical defects arise from the manufacturer.
